After The Duel

The sargeant of the guardsmen who seemed to give a permissive nod to Landra introduces himself as Rittain Bonald, advising that he and his men were keeping an eye on Gunner and his crew. He sees no great tragedy in the death of probably the worst-behaved of the lot, and tells Landra that he is at her service if he can be of assistance in the future.

Searching for the Tall Man

Tharin rejoins the group, having purchased a fine Cerulean robe with the elemental symbol for water on one side of his chest. The Hunted resume their search for information about the Tall Man and their talk of shadows is misunderstood by a "shit-shoveler" named Bing who begins to babble about how horrible it was that "that lady was killed". In short order The Hunted hear a story of a woman murdered in an alleyway, whose tall attacker disappeared into the shadows. Bing is able to point out the shop that the woman lived above and is over the moon when Tharin gives him a gold piece for his time, babbling about always being willing to help.

Ingixia's Curiosities

The Hunted knock on the door of the shop which appears to be full of parchments and carvings. Gren Tasalt answers and acknowledges that it was his wife who was killed. He invites the party around the back so Bjorn and Ider can wait in the alleyway, letting the rest of them in. He mentions that his wife Ingixia felt like she was being followed the day before her death but can't understand why someone would want to kill an anthropologist.

Magni asks what an anthropologist is, which leads to questions about recent acquisitions, Gren advises that recently her work has centered around ancient plotting Halfling family trees and their ancient society. He mentions that she was fascinated to see indications that Halflings had developed technology significantly ahead of that of their Gnomish and Dwarven contemporaries.

Landra hears the name Ingixia and pulls out Borathin Cirros' list, quickly finding her and explaining to the others and Gren. Gren looks at the list and though he recognises the name Borathin Cirros (as one of the developers of Rumfords Reflective Region, an enchantment that the people of Madrill are considering), he doesn't know anyone else. He invites The Hunted to take all the time they need to look over Ingixia's research, but balks at the idea of them taking the collection away.

The Hunted agree that developing something like Rumfords Reflective Region could have made enemies for Borathin Cirros, but there doesn't appear to be any link to Ingixia Tasalt or any of their own group.

Definitely Not Thieves

Kul'theras takes his leave to obtain some crafting materials, and while the others initially plan to head to The Bloated Hag, it occurs that the men they met in the alley after Magni had his pocket picked might actually be criminals after all. They return there to ask questions about the Tall Man, with Tharin invisible and HoK who changes appearance to an average human male and watches from a rooftop. Landra tries her hand at dice with their leader Oren when invited, eventually losing 2SP. She pays another SP for the chance to ask about the Tall Man and Oren's body language seems to indicate he is not on friendly terms.

Oren advises that the man they seek is Jegan Kayal, a "freak" who refers to himself as Shadowdancer. He advises that if they want to find him, they should consider the Warehouse District at night, and that if they survive the "conversation" that Oren might have work for them.

ALL The Information

While an HoK and an invisible Tharin and stalk Oren and his crew, Magni and Landra head to The Bloated Hag and are soon joined by Tharin while HoK remains watching the "clubhouse" that Oren entered from a rooftop.

Magni mentions being down from Mount Thuun on an "errand" for his Da' to find something but leaves it at that.

Landra reveals that she's not in touch with her father. She mentions that she doesn't know much of him and that he's not an elf.

As Magni grows more inebriated, he asks Tharin about his magic and not telling his parents about it.

Tharin eventually gets drunk enough to mention his childhood abuse.

He and Magni get significantly more drunk, Kul'theras arrives and asks what they're talking about and gets something about picking the flowers of your own family, Tharin is a crushed rose. He excuses himself and goes to bed.

They discuss sending a letter to Mirror Longview and also killing his whole family.

Tharin asserts that Mirror Longview is more attractive than Landra or HoK. He also asserts that HoK shouldn't be able to change form in front of them, and possible should be naked most of the time. Tharin advises he's never been with a woman of his choice.

Magni sets out trying to get Tharin bedded by a woman who wasn't a family member behaving in a predatory fashion. The Barmaid does not work out. He tries Landra.

Tharin takes a big swig, chokes on his beer and after a coughing fit he vomits. The owner encourages them to move him upstairs to his room. Magni suggests Tharin and Landra share a room and Tharin agrees just before passing out.
