Sneak Attack

  • The hand of Kali was attacked on a rooftop by Jegan Kayal while observing the nocturnal comings and goings of Oren and his cronies in Madrill. Finding herself pinned by his rapier, she attempted conversation rather than trying to fight back.

HoK-"TOMAS the train told me I should seek you out."

JK-"That's fascinating." slashing at her again.

HoK-"So be it. If it is my time then you shall send me back to Kali, but you will not find answers or help that might be provided."

JK-"What help do you think you could be to me?" while casually stepping back 10 feet, his face becoming entirely obscured by shadow.

HoK-"I am travelling with several companions. We know there is a force hunting us, and you, down. We have gained understanding of reasons and can defend against this."

JK-"You stupid bitch, I'm the Hunter!", with that his rapier flies out of her shoulder, and his shadowy form suddenly disappears.

The Bloated Hag

Stoddard & Sons

  • Tharin speaks with Samuel Stoddard, owner of Stoddard & Sons about assist them in finding Jegan Kayal. The patriarch is initially dismissive but changes his tune when Tharin flashes over 4000GP, insinuating that the reward for assisting may be this amount. Samuel quickly summons Ginny, a quiet female who apparently paints their signage, and in a short time she has created a reasonable likeness of Jegan as portrayed by the Hand of Kali.

Warehouse Hunting

Kul'theras and HoK hide themselves near Stoddard & Sons, waiting to see if there is any reaction to the likeness of Jegan Hayal painted on the side of their warehouse. Tharin casts mes

Tharin, Landra & Magni make their way around the district looking for unoccupied warehouses, thinking the Shadowdancer might be holed up in one. Each vacant warehouse they find has a sign stating "See Agaxias at Madrill Fresh Food Wholesalers", but none of them look particularly derelict. They break into one and find nothing of interest, however when they leave they find a group of men armed with a variety of swords who seem intent on relieving Tharin of his coinpurse. Violence ensues.
