A magistrate residing in Madrill, Sever Oeaga Treandra oversaw the case of The Hunted when they were tried for killing a gang of warehouse workers who attempted to mug them. He imposed a fine of 100GP per death, to be passed on to the families of the deceased, advising The Hunted that this was the minimum penalty he could reasonably apply.

A notable point of conflict during the case occurred when Sever managed to hear Kul'theras asserting that The Hunted could kill the magistrate and all of the occupants of the courthouse rather than pay the fine. He informed the elf that such a statement might be considered a threat which would carry a far greater penalty.

Sever never mentioned the consequences that The Hunted would face if they failed to pay the fine.

Sever took the opportunity to mention that the incident would have been avoided if Rumfords Reflective Region had been in place.
