Yo hey - I guess I would put my support in for the critical hit deck as described in "KEEP CRIT DECK #1" - with the addendum that magical weapon affects (like thundering) keep their respecive bonus damage for being a crit, but that this damage is not modified by the crit card itself - so a x4 crit thundering weapon would get max damage, an option of three crit cards to modify that damage, and also 3d8 of sonic damage on top of that. RE: INDIVIDUAL CRIT DECK #1: Not much more complicated to do, and probably the best to keep individuals happy. If you could all agree democratically that would be slightly better from a balance perspective, but the nature of a game like Pathfinder means that there will always be variability between characters. You could make a fair arguement that it's part of the appeal.

RE: MULTI-CRIT KEEP CRIT DECK #1: I'm not a fan of this, as this adds more variables for any player whose character has x3 or x4 weapons and the point of re-examining use of the Critical Hit Deck was to remove variables that can slow down play.

Regardless of any of the above, I fully support the clarification pointed out by Sarge last night and also above that weapon effects such as Thundering or Flaming Burst are calculated separately.

In fact, for the sake of simplicity, I would suggest that all weapon enchantments are excluded from Critical Hit calculations - all "un-typed" weapon damage is calculated and multiplied if applicable, then any applicable special enchantment damage is added on top. In line with the stated goal of every Crit being better than a normal hit, effects such as Flaming which effect every hit would be maximized along with the un-typed damage.
