Summary
The divine favour system is a reputation meter of sorts, denoting the party's alignment with a god of the pantheon. This meter is shared amongst the party and not a single individual within. The meter goes from +5 to -5, with a positive favor signifying that your actions have advanced the portfolio of a god, and a negative one signifying that your actions have frustrated them. A more extreme alignment will result in more biased interaction with the followers and agents of a god, either in aiding or hindering the party.
Additionally, if the party has a positive total of favor with a specific deity, these points may be spent by members of the party in a manner akin to hero points - with specific deities maintaining specific effects, detailed in the list below. If the favor is unspent and instead pooled, a passive bonus will be granted to the party at +3 favor, and enhanced at +5. Conversely, a negative total may be spent by the GM for the same effects to be granted to the agents of that deity, most likely against the interests of the party.
Roleplaying actions as well as quest results will cause the party to gain/lose favour, with singular actions potentially influencing favor differently with different deities - actions in the interest of one will often be against the interests of another.
