A Mongrelfolk found in the basement of Castle Ravenloft after the party first met Strahd. The creature was making a kind of stew which contained still-active Zombies.
The creature didn't make a lot of sense most of the time but didn't appear at first to be antagonistic to the party. When it suggested that it would lead them to their room Pavel quickly found himself trapped between portcullis' and rapidly ascending multiple stories of the castle, which changed his opinion of the creature pretty rapidly though others in the party had mixed feelings, mostly involving pity.
Soon after they met Strahd's captive accountant Lief Lipsiege, who told them that Cyrus had been the creator of the Bony Hall and considered it his "Masterpiece".
When they next encountered the creature it attempted to ring a service bell and the party quickly incapacitated it, taking a key from it and locking it bound into a chest in the Accountant's chambers.
